Dr. Gwen Foote attends STEM Program- 2016 FCR-STEMLearn Program sponsored by FSU & CPALMS

Florida State University (FSU) collaborated with CPALMs for the 2016 FCR-STEMLearn Program, offered to Florida’s mathematics and science teachers.

Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, FCR-STEMLearn Program provides professional development to teachers South Region in Florida during summer of 2016, with a teacher follow-up program during the 2016-2017 school year.

Dr. Gwendolyn Foote participated with Florida State University focused on curriculum instruction, using supplies to promote integrated hands on inquiry labs for Earth Systems and Climate STEM investigations. These labs will be used by Nautilus Middle School, of Miami Beach.

Unit of studies included Solar Energy, Ocean - Atmosphere Interactions, Measuring climates (past and present), Effects of a changing climate, group investigation research projects, and Statistics with math integration.
